Fireplace Foley FX
New Sample Pack: Fireplace Recordings – The Warmth of Sound
There's something timeless about the crackle of a fireplace. It evokes a feeling of comfort, nostalgia, and stillness that’s hard to replicate with synthetic sounds. That’s why I’m excited to introduce my latest field recording sample pack: Fireplace Recordings — a carefully captured collection of warm, crackling textures straight from real fires.
Whether you're scoring a winter scene, adding ambience to a lofi beat, or just want to inject a little organic warmth into your productions, these sounds are for you.
🎧 What's Inside?
This pack features high-quality WAV recordings of various fireplaces and wood-burning stoves, each one mic’d up to capture a different sonic character. Expect:
Close-up crackles – sharp, intimate detail of burning wood
Ambient room fires – wide stereo recordings of fires in large hearths
Smoldering embers – subtle, low-end textures great for layering
Log tosses and shifts – gentle movement sounds that bring scenes to life
Slow burns – long, evolving textures perfect for ambient tracks
Each sound has been cleaned up while keeping the natural dynamic feel intact. No over-processing — just the raw beauty of fire.
🔥 Perfect For:
Lofi, ambient, and downtempo producers
Sound designers working on cozy scenes or nature documentaries
Game developers creating immersive soundscapes
ASMR creators and YouTube chill vibes channels
Anyone who wants to add a layer of warmth and realism to their audio
🪵 How I Captured the Sounds
These aren’t stock sounds. I recorded everything myself, traveling to a few unique locations including a rural stone cottage, a wood-burning stove in a converted barn, and even a bonfire on a frosty Scottish night. Using a Zoom H5 and a pair of stereo condensers, I aimed to capture both the intimate details and the full atmosphere of each fire.
This was about more than sound—it was about mood, tone, and texture.
